Don't step in it... compost it! The Tumbleweed Pet Poo Converter is a worm composter that uses redworms to consume dog poop and convert it into nutrient-rich castings and liquid tea. It is a two container vermicomposting system with a large, hinged lid for easy access. The dog droppings (cat poo is not recommended) are placed in the top container where the worms feast and breed. The bottom container collects the liquid which can be used in the garden as a potent organic fertilizer.
To start the vermicomposter, you will need approximately 1,000 red worms (not included), which should be purchased from... well, us! The Tumbleweed Pet Poo Converter will handle the droppings from two medium-sized dogs or one very large dog. The worms must only be fed dog droppings. If you wish to recycle veggie scraps, a separate worm bin should be used.
