Harness the power of worms with this cost-effective vermicomposter! The Tumbleweed Worm Farm consists of two sturdy boxes that nest inside each other. The upper box has a perforated floor and a hinged lid and is called the working box. The lower box is fitted with a continuous drain spout and is called the collector box.
Red wiggler worms (not included) live, eat and breed in the working box. It is where vegetable scraps (both raw and cooked), coffee grounds, teabags, etc. are added and is also where the nutrient-rich castings are collected. A potent soil conditioner, castings can be harvested as needed.
Liquid "worm tea" drains through the perforated base into the bottom box where it can be collected using the handy drain spout. This valuable organic fertilizer can be combined with water and applied directly to plants to improve quality and yields. Safe to use, it will not burn plants.
